New version of the component DatsoGallery 1.8.4. In this version had been developed some additional options, as well as fixed some errors related to the appearance of the gallery and configuration. List of changes see in details.

List of changes in back-end:

• In the Сonfiguration of DatsoGallery in tab Directories added an additional field for checking zipimport folder in the root directory of Joomla, as well as is writable.
• In this section, tab Options, added the option Social Networks, as well as a list of 12 major Social Networks, namely: Google, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Linkedin, Yahoo, Digg, Del.icoi.us, Windows Live, Furl, Reddit and Technorati. This list is adjustable.
• For functions Batch Upload and Batch Import added checking for a folder zipimport, since this folder is the integral part to the use of above mentioned functions.

List of changes in front-end:

• On the page if image details, near to an icon Download image, added option Social Networks Bookmarking, of which I spoke above.
• Items Most Viewed, Top Rated, Last Added, Last Commented and Images by Author added Page Navigation.
• In User Panel item in a popup window, added information about a specific image: date, hits, downloads, rating and number of comments.
• In the same item, removed Hits column, because this information is added in the popup window.
• In comments added a detector for iPhone 3G(S). If iPhone is detected, then the visual editor will be disabled because of incompatibility and instead of the editor the standard area for input a comments will be used.
• Implemented several bug in the code of component

Recommendations:
On some web servers, manipulation of the folders and files through PHP is impossible. The reason?... Illiterate server configuration. This usually happens on the platforms Linux, which runs PHP through Apache module. So, here are my recommendations... If you're on a shared hosting with such configuration and want to get rid of unnecessary problems with software, change the hosting to one serious. If you are on a virtual server (VPS), then in the settings of hosting for your domain, set run PHP as CGI or FastCGI. I assure you, you forget about editing manually write permissions for the folders/files, manually create the missing folders and other manipulations.
